The thermal conductivity of polystyrene sandwich panel is low, which has the characteristics of high thermal resistance and low linear expansion rate. The higher thermal resistance the product provides means the higher R-Value the insulation materials is. Thermal resistance is the most important materials characteristic that should be defined when specifying insulation.

R-Value is related to two factors, which is the insulation core thickness and the thermal conductivity of the insulation materials. Considering the low cost of the eps sandwich panel, increased the thickness of eps insulated panel is more economically efficient than using a product with a lower thermal conductivity to achieve a specific thermal resistance.

eps roof panel is fire retardant which meet B grade, if you need fire rated materials, please consider 2 hour fire rated rock wool sandwich panel etc. which can meet A grade fire resistance.
