The concept of prefabricated houses originated in the 19th century, they were mostly used for military camps and immigrant settlements. Nowadays, with the advancement of technology, prefabricated houses have been widely used in residential, commercial, and industrial fields, becoming an important part of modern architecture.

Prefab house is normally used for temporary accommodation such as staff dormitories on construction site, resettlement housing after disaster, mobile office, exhibition hall, shop, schools, hospital, and tourist attraction. Prefabricated dormitory for staff and worker is one of the typical application.
Structure of a prefabricated dormitory
1. Steel frame: The Prefabricated dormitory usually use light steel structures as the skeleton, combined with high-strength composite panels as the walls and roofs. It is lightweight but high-strength. It is easy to transport and install, while ensuring structural stability.

2. Roof and wall system: prefabricated dormitory always use sandwich panel as its wall and roof system, as it has the characteristic of modular design, easy installation, light weight, lower cost but heat insulated, sound proof and fire rated.

3. Doors and windows: You can choose a sandwich panel door for a lower cost concern or a steel door for better quality considering frequent openings. Door leaf thickness is same by 50 mm, but door frame can match the wall panel thickness like up to 400 mm.

Windows can be swing window and sliding window, window materials can use UPVC or aluminum considering the local sunlight and strong ultraviolet light.

4. Flooring: For ground floor, you can use concrete cement flooring or add ceramic tiles for decoration, for upper floors, you can use fiber cement board plus ceramic tiles considering the water drainage treatment or directly use plywood plus vinyl PVC flooring.

5. Accessories: Sandwich panel closure for roof ridge, wall corner, etc. will be included together with necessary hardware like expansion bolts, tapping screw, rivets, silica glue.
6. Decoration: If you need the electrical system and water piping system for your prefab staff accommodation, we can include and supply, we will provide one stop procurement service for beds, furniture, sanitary ware, ceramic tiles etc.
