However, due to the low overall technology and equipment level of the insulation material industry in China, the application technology in the construction field needs to be improved, which has greatly affected the promotion and application of insulation materials. In recent years, the phenomenon of repeated construction of thermal insulation materials industry has been serious. Hundreds of production lines have been put into operation in various parts of the country in recent years, but little investment has been made in the development of application fields, resulting in low investment efficiency and oversupply of demand.
Thermal insulation material is a new type of building material widely used in modern industry and civil industry. What is the difference between the rock wool sandwich panel and the polystyrene sandwich panel ?
1. Flame Retardant Effect
EPS boards are made of organic plastics, so they are relatively flammable. There are many fire hazards in the construction, and they are more prone to fire. B1 grade polystyrene sandwich panel can effectively solve the flammable shortcomings, but can not achieve complete non-flammability. Rock wool board is made of inorganic natural basalt, which belongs to completely non-flammable thermal insulation material. There are no fire hazards in construction, and the combustion index reaches A1 level.
2. Water Absorption Rate of Insulation Layer
Polyphenyl board and rock wool board construction technology is basically the same be applied to thin plastering system, polyphenyl board belongs to foaming plastic material, so it has a certain hydrophobic effect, water absorption rate is low, but rock wool is inorganic fiber material, so water absorption rate is higher. Hydrophobic rock wool board must use bonded mortar and plastering mortar with hydrophobic effect to form a protective layer on the surface of rock wool board when it is applied for the external wall insulation, which can greatly reduce the water absorption of rock wool board.
3. Sticking and anchoring
The foam sandwich panels and the rock wool sandwich panels can all adopt the point frame bonding method, but the rock wool panel belongs to the fibrous plate, so it is not easy to be thicker when the bonding mortar is applied, but the area of the rock wool panel bonding mortar is more than the area of the polystyrene panel bonding mortar, and when necessary, the full bonding method is adopted. It is necessary to ensure that the bonding area is more than 40%. As the rock wool panel belongs to fiberboard, anchorage nails under seven layers should be no less than 7 per square and anchorage nails above seven layers should be no less than 9 per square.
Rock wool panel has the most superior fire-proof performance. It has the characteristics of load-bearing, heat preservation, heat insulation, fire-proof, no need for secondary decoration, quick and convenient installation, short construction period and good comprehensive benefit. The products have passed the national quality test and the fire proof test of the national fire-proof decorative materials.
After the above difference analysis, although the polystyrene sandwich board is a good organic thermal insulation material, but from the comprehensive performance analysis, it is known that the traditional rock wool thermal insulation material is relatively safe. But on the basis of the traditional material is the inevitable development of society, we believe that the performance of polystyrene thermal insulation material will be improved greatly in the future.
